  • Ware Mechanical Weather Alert: Rainfall near a half inch; snow in Dalton. Gusts: 33 mph; advisory in effect. Power: 200-plus without service. Wind chill: 33 degrees; freeze warning tonight.
  • Fatality: A Calhoun man, 18, was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run accident near Dalton. Even sadder, he lost his father — Summerville’s former postmaster – in a motorcycle crash in June 2018.
  • Remembering Chloe: Funeral servics are set for a 9-year-old cheerleader killed in Trion accident on Saturday. Friends have raised more than $7,000 to assist with funeral costs.
  • Heard on the Tweet: Another November business surprise this week? A toast with your toast this Sunday. Late start for mall Santa this year. A good week for ‘missing persons.’
