A busy Monday is under way with these headlines:

  • Rome Police says a suspect arrested on armed robbery, probation violation in Synovus hold-up case last week.
  • In another case, a Rome face faces 20 counts including rape, kidnapping and battery.
  • Safe landing for pilot, passenger on I-75 near Union Grove interchange north of Adairsville on Sunday. This was the second emergency landing this month around here.
  • LivingProof Recovery hopes to add services in Lindale; also partnering with Emory University nursing program in 2020.  Look for additional outreach as well.
  • Election: After strong turnout for weekend voting (240 ballots), advance voting this week adds a second site: county administration building and the health department.
  • Peaks & Valleys: Good call on Peach State; where are the voters?
