Sunday: The 55th annual Chiaha Harvest Fair at Ridge Ferry Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 Adults; $4 Seniors; $1 kids 3-12.

SundayYoung Life presents an evening with Christian singer/songwriter Ellie Holcomb from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Rome City Auditorium. She was named “Best New Artist” at the 2014 Dove Awards. Her most recent album, Red Sea Road, was released in January 2017.Doors open at 6 p.m. General admission is $20. VIP Meet and Greet with Ellie at $225.


WHAT’S AHEAD NEXT WEEKEND: Oct. 31-Nov. 3
Halloween: Head downtown on October 31 from 3-5 p.m. for Rome’s annual Downtown Trick or Treat! Downtown businesses will be giving out candy outside their storefront. This event is for kids 12 and under.
Halloween: Rome-Floyd Parks and Rec’s Truck-or-Treat at Ridge Ferry Park from 5-7:30 p.m. Join us for an evening of trick-or-treating, food trucks, inflatables, costumes and lots of fun for the whole family.
Friday: Hospitality House for Women’s 12th annual ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ to benefit women, children and men who are affected by domestic violence. Event encourages the men in our community to don their finest women’s shoes and march down Broad Street displaying support in our mission to bring awareness to this social issue. Registration begins at 11 a.m. at Rotary Plaza and walk to begin at noon. Prizes awarded for various contests, mascot dance off and goody bags for all participants. All are welcome. Saturday: The 12th Annual Rome Beer Fest will be held along the river at Heritage Park from 1-5 p.m.
Admission is $40 in advance, $50 at the gate on the day of the event. Guests have access to unlimited beer sampling of over 150 different beers, a commemorative 16oz glass and live entertainment from local bands. Tickets are limited in quantity. The cost of the designated driver ticket is $10 and may be purchased in advance or at the gate. Proceeds from the event benefit the Rome Area Council for the Arts.

Saturday: Rome Symphony Orchestra will present The Planets and the “Jupiter Symphony” Holst and Mozart at 7:30 p.m. at the Rome City Auditorium. One of the most famous pieces of music of all time, Holst’s “The Planets” is a work that everybody should hear in person at least once in their lifetime. Accompanied by a mesmerizing video of the planets and outer space curated by a NASA scientist, this is an evening not to be missed.

Sunday: Elevating Lives Concert featuring Josh Wilson at the Rome City Auditorium, 3 p.m. The concert features award-winning Contemporary Christian, singer-songwriter Josh Wilson. This concert is the first marquee event for Elevation House. Elevation House is a nonprofit organization that serves adults with serious mental illness in the Rome and surrounding counties.
