Tropical Storm Nestor has been named and it looks nasty. Winds are up to 60 mph and it is clocking it toward a Gulf Coast impact, criss-crossing Georgia on Saturday. Current speed: 22 mph toward the northeast.
Around an inch of rain here, some gusts: The tropical system in the Gulf is expected to become a named storm later today. It already has the minimum winds, 40 mph, but not the “circulation center.” It is moving quickly to the northeast at 14 mph. The current forecast track takes it across Georgia on Saturday. We’ll liklely see less than an inch of rain starting Saturday with midday gusts of 20 mph or more.
