Dining: Timbo’s Smokehouse, among the region’s top food trucks, to open Rockmart restaurant in November.

Tim McGinnis has had a rolling success on his hands for five years. Just about everywhere his food truck, Timbo’s Smokehouse, sets up, the crowd follows.

Now he’s adding to the appeal but with a brick-and-mortar location as well. Here’s the update from theh Timbo’s Smokehouse Facebook page. If nothing else, you’ve got to appreciate the name of the page: buttliciousbbq.

“It has long been rumored that we are opening a restaurant. After much prayer, discussion and soul searching, we have decided to go forward with the idea. We have signed a lease for 1063 Nathan Dean Parkway in Rockmart, in the Triangle Shopping Center beside the Dollar Tree. The restaurant will be named Timbo’s Smokehouse and we hope to be open for business by mid to late November. The menu will be pretty much the same as our food truck with a few additions that we will announce later.
More information will be available the closer we are to opening. Thank you for all your support the last five years….”

Based on social media response alone, McGinnis will open to a crowd. The post received nearly 250 “likes,” 31 comments and 56 shares (in roughly 24 hours).
