High school football rankings: According to the AJC:

  • 5A: Rome, now 5-2, rises one spot to no. 6.
  • 4A: Cartersville, 7-0, holds at no. 2.
  • 2A: Rockmart remains no. 1 with a 6-0 record.
  • 1A Private: Darlington, also 6-0, remains no. 4.

The Berry Vikings football team has risen to No. 7 in the latest D3.com football poll. Berry had been no. 8.

Georgia falls to no. 10 from third place after loss to South Carolina.

Alabama remains no. 1 with LSU now at no. 2 following a two-touchdown win over Florida. The Gators dropped from seven to ninth, one ahead of the Bulldogs.

  • Other SEC teams: Auburn, no. 11, an; Missouri, no. 22.
  • Clemson, which remains undefeated, is now no. 3, a notch down from the previous week. No other ACC teams are ranked this week.
