At least three beer festivals brewing in October, early November in Rome, Fort Payne and Ball Ground.

Oct. 12: Mountain Town Hop Fest, Fort Payne (Ala.) Alabama’s first brewfest will take place at Rotary Pavilion on Oct. 12 from 2-6 p.m. (Central Time). More than 30 beers will be available including Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia craft beers along with food and music.  Tickets are $27 for general admission and $5 for designated drivers. Oct. 19: Gibbs Garden Beer Festival, Ball Ground, noon-4 p.m. Gibbs Gardens will host 20-plus local and regional craft brewers as well as food and other vendors. Ticket prices range from $45 to $75 depending on advance sales and gardens’ membership. Expanded details 

Nov. 2: 12th Annual Rome Beer Fest at Heritage Park, Rome. A fund-raiser for the Rome Area Council for the Arts, the festival is a bit later this year. Included: Local beer and food, live music, football and a VIP section. It begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person, $100 for VIP and $10 for designated drivers.
