AFTERMATH

Most power outages across Northwest Georgia from Tuesday night’s storms have been repaired. At 5 a.m., roughly 60 customers in the five-county area still were without service. Some outages lasted up to four hours, especially in the Chulio Road area. Pockets across the region experienced locally heavy rainfall; officially, all of 0.02 of an inch fell at the airport. The agricultural station off Bells Ferry recorded two thirds of an inch..

OUTLOOK

Isolated to scattered, mainly afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be possible through Friday. By this weekend, there is the potential to see more widespread thunderstorms. A few strong storms are possible with brief gusty winds, locally heavy rain, and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.
