OUTLOOK

A code orange Air Quality Alert has been issued for Bartow County and metro Atlanta for today. Sensitive groups, such as young children, the elderly, and people with heart or lung conditions, should take care if doing any outdoor activities.

Near record heat will continue through the middle of the week with a gradual increase in humidity, making it feel even warmer. Isolated to scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will exist each day, Tuesday through Saturday. The main hazards will be locally heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning.
