High school football rankings: Cartersville jumps to no. 1 in 4A; Darlington climbs to no. 3 in A-Private. 

According to the AJC:

  • 5A: Rome, at 1-1, falls to no. 7.
  • 4A: Cartesville, at 2-0, rises to first place.
  • 3A: Calhoun, now 2-0, holds at no. 3.
  • 2A: Rockmart remains atop the classification with a 2-0 record.
  • 1A Private: Darlington rises to the no. 3 spot with 3-0 record.
  • 1A Public: Trion holds at no. 9 with 2-0 record.
