Sunday: Rome Braves host the Augusta GreenJackets at State Mutual Stadium at 2 p.m. Sunday: The $50 Family Fun Day Package (over $100 value) includes 4 tickets, 4 hamburgers OR hot dogs, 4 sodas, 4 popcorns, 4 hats + free Kid Zone inflatable wristbands.
Sunday: The Summer Movie Series at the Rome City Auditorium continues with “Remember the Titans” with shows at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets for each show are $5 a person and can be purchased at the door the day of each show. Cash and credit card payments will be accepted. Doors will open 45 minutes prior to each show.

Friday: Live music this summer on the patio with Rome favorite Kevin Allen Music at The Courtyard Rome Riverwalk from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Enjoy great music, gorgeous views, full bar and grill on the patio.
Saturday: The 34th Annual Gary Tillman Memorial Clocktower Race and Health Walk returns. Race will begin at 8 a.m. The 5K begins on Second Avenue, runs through Historic Downtown Rome, Myrtle Hill and the challenging Clocktower Hill. The 2-Mile Health Walk follows a similar route, excluding Clocktower Hill in favor of the scenic Riverwalk Path. Race Day registration is open from 6:30 to 7:30 am for a cost of $35 for 5K and $30 for the 2 Mile.
Saturday: Harbin Clinic’s Walk with a Doc led by Neurologist Dr. David Hale. The two-mile health walk is free and meets at Bridgepoint Plaza in Rome at 9 a.m. Participants will hear a short introduction on the benefits of walking before venturing onto Rome’s Kingfisher Trail. Saturday: The 18th Annual Health Initiative for Men Plus Women is set from 8 a.m. to noon at the Floyd County Health Department. Organizers plan to continue “to combine the men’s and women’s events to make better use of our resources and efforts in providing services to those in our community.”
Saturday: Public Animal Welfare Services will host the first Bow Wow Luau. This summer-themed event aims to introduce members of the community to P.A.W.S. and its mission as well as finding homes for all adoptable animals within the facility. The luau will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the P.A.W.S. campus at 99 North Ave. NE in Rome. P.A.W.S. staff will be inserting microchips for $10. All adoptions will be free. The first 10 adoptions of the day will receive a free microchip as well. There will be a projected 100 animals available for adoption on the day of the event. For more: facebook.com/fcpaws.
Saturday: Paradise Garden Foundation presents the second Outsider Art Trail Tour: Start your day early at a “picker’s paradise,” strolling through Trade Day (outdoor flea market) and digging for treasures in Summerville. Enjoy walks through two great Georgia art environments – world famous Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden in Summerville and The Rock Garden in Calhoun. Visit two folk/outsider art galleries in Summerville — Folk America Gallery, and Finster Framing & Art Gallery. Depending on where you start your road trip, find your way to Rome to the Harbin Clinic Gallery at Makervillage to see works by 85-year old memory painter Charles Wimpee. The Outsider Art Trail Tour is a self-guided, puppy-dog-friendly tour designed as a day of chilling, discovery and art. The Tour is free with Paradise Garden admission ($15 adults/$5 children), with donations appreciated at the Rock Garden, as well. Trade Day opens at 7 a.m. (just ½ mile from Paradise Garden), galleries and art environments 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick-up your Outsider Art Trail “Passport” at any location, as you tour you will earn stamps to qualify for free prizes including a drawing for an Airbnb overnight stay at Paradise Garden. Saturday: The 2020 Miss Rome and 2020 Miss Rome’s Outstanding Teen competition at 7 p.m. at City Auditorium. Tickets are $15 at the door and seating is General Admission. Visiting titleholders are admitted free- please wear your crown and banner.
