Mrs. Lily Jean Miller, 72, of Rome, Georgia, passed away, Monday, August 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be Friday, August 9, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Metropolitan Untied Methodist Church, 700 Broad St. Rome, Georgia. She will lie instate from noon until the hour of service. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, 2549 Shorter Ave. Rome, Georgia. Rev. Derrick Miller will be delivering the eulogy.

David Robert Goodoien, age 56, passed away suddenly at work on July 17, 2019.

Mr. Goodoien was born Sept. 28, 1962 in Groton, CT to Jerald Robert and Beverly Harriet Schlink Goodoien. His father was in the military and corporate world, so he lived in several places growing up.  He joined the United States Navy where he served from 1982-1986. Following his service, David attended Southern Poly Tech (now KSU) studying engineering. He was a Certified Irrigation Designer and Contractor.

He owned and managed his own business, Good Improvements Inc., and loved designing and installing irrigation systems.
David married Mary Beth Lill and from that marriage came his 2 best friends and sons who he loved with all his heart.  They are truly his pride and joy.  He came to Utah in May of 2018 and was the Plumbing Department Manager at Home Depot in Park City at the time of his passing. David was a die-hard Minnesota Viking fan and also enjoyed skiing, golfing, boating and water skiing. He was fun to be around, very reliable and always very happy and greeted everyone with a big smile. He was affectionately called “Crazy Dave.”

David is survived by his boys; Jarrad and Jacob Goodoien; parents, Jerald Robert (Ada) Goodoien and Beverly Harriet (Tom) Rutherford; his sister, Diane (Malcolm) Stager; brothers Douglas Goodoien and Daniel (Valerie) Goodoien. David also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2019, from 3 until 6 p.m. at Yanmar Evo Center, 5889 Old Alabama Road, Acworth, GA  30102.

The committal service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, consult with the family concerning memorial donations.

Mr. Robert Edwin Campbell Jr., age 58, of Lindale, GA, passed away Tuesday evening, August 6, 2019, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Campbell was born in Rome, GA on November 21, 1960, son of the Robert Edwin “Bill” Campbell, Sr. and the late Norma Anne Ramsey Campbell.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Teresa Campbell, and by his mother-in-law, Carolyn Wooten.  Edwin was a 1979 graduate of East Rome High School.  Prior to his illness, he was employed with Lifoam Industries in Rome.  He was a former Mason and was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Wooten Campbell, to whom he was married on June 28, 1986; 2 sons, Spencer Matthew Campbell, Adairsville, and Eric Heath Campbell, Lindale; 2 sisters, Kathy Blansit (Wayne), Summerville, and Lawanna Trotter, Rome; a brother, Bo Campbell, Rome; nieces, Tonya Baker (Patrick Sissom), Tera Campbell (Brian), and Jennifer Moody (Clayton); nephews, George “Joe” Trotter, Jr., David Trotter, and Adam Trotter; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Mickey Skates officiating.  Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m.  At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence.

Pallbearers are requested to assemble on Friday at 10:30 a.m. and include:  Jerry Langley, Terry Stroud, Dwayne Ellis, David Trotter, Adam Trotter, Clayton Moody, Izaak Taylor, and Wayne Blansit.
