It took a few weeks to get beyond demolition to actual foundation work but the pace of construction at Little Caesar’s on Turner McCall has certainly picked up. The store — at the former car wash next to Krystal — replaces the drive-up edition that was adjacent to the former Kmart off Hicks Drive. On the way, probably by year’s end, will be a completely new building with drive-through service similar to the Little Caesar’s in West Rome. The shop is part of the Quantum Restaurants group in Chattanooga.
What to watch for: How will this new home of Little Caesar’s compete with the East Rome location of Domino’s not even a block off TMB behind PetLand on O’Neill Street.

- The East Rome location on 1810 Turner McCall Blvd. next to Zaxby’s will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- The West Rome location on 601 Shorter Ave. next to Krystal will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Both locations will still be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
