July 25-28: Rome Braves host Hagerstown on Thursday at 7 p.m. and West Virginia on Friday-Monday. Promotions include “Christmas in July” on Thursday with $5 Box Level ticket when wearing holiday attire; Ozzie Albies Bobblehead giveaway to first 1,000 fans through the gate on Friday; Rome Braves Lunch Bag giveaway to first 1,000 fans through gates on Saturday; and Sunday is Family Fun Day with $50 package (over $100 value) includes 4 tickets, 4 hamburgers OR hot dogs, 4 sodas, 4 popcorns, 4 hats + free Kid Zone inflatable wristbands.

July 27: The Harbin Clinic Gallery at Makervillage’s third exhibit, “A Painted Life,” featuring the works of folk artist Charles Wimpee. The gallery will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon through Aug. 24. The gallery is on Fifth Avenue in Rome. Background
July 27: Second Annual Bar Olympics. Giggity’s Sports Bar & Grill, Rome City Brewing Co. and Eagle Rock are partnering to bring the event to 227 and 333 Broad St. Events this year will include corn hole, pool, darts, Silver Strike bowling and shuffle board. The event begins at 2 p.m. and the entry fee is $20 per team, two players per team. Preregister to receive swag towards Olympic team uniforms. Plenty of giveaways are planned with prizes including trophies, cash and gift certificates. What to expect “In true Olympic fashion, the events will be split between stadiums. This year, we are proud to announce that we are partnering with Rome City Brewing, where two of the events will take place.”
Aug. 3: The Fourth Annual Soulfest at Ridge Ferry Park. This year’s headliners include Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. Also do are local favorites The Infinity Show Band, Something for the Soul, Tara Sabree and the Seduction Band. Tickets: General admission is $60, VIP is $125 and kids under 10 are free. Aug. 23: The Forum River Center in collaboration with Ready or Not Entertainment announces a concert featuring Georgia-based Mother’s Finest. The internationally known funk rock band will perform on Friday, Aug. 23, at 7:30 p.m., at The Forum RIver Center along with The Vintage Vixens.
