12:40 p.m. update: US 27 North reopened in Armuchee (between Lynn and Duggar Drive) after morning shutdown with downed power lines on roadway.

U.S 27 near Lynn Drive is shutdown in both directions as Georgia Power crews fix downed power lines.

12:40 p.m. update: Floyd County Police report US 27 North is now re-opened.

From Floyd E-911: U.S. 27 North near Lynn Drive and Duggar Drive in Armuchee (north of Mount Berry Mall) is shutdown in both directions as of 10:45 a.m. with downed power lines across the road. Georgia Power crews are on the scene repairing the broken pole and lines. No estimate in when the roadway will reopen. Please use an alternate route.

From Floyd Police: US 27 North in Armuchee is shut down. An oversized tractor trailer has damaged a utility pole and dropped wires on the road. Closure affects everything between Lynn and Dugger Drive.

Power Outage: As of 11:15 a.m., Georgia Power reports only six customers without power in the area. Map
