Mrs. Nancy F. Jacks, age 76, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at a local health care facility.
Nancy was born in Columbus, GA on June 1, 1943, daughter of the late Charles E. Freeman and the late Eula Cuomo Freeman. She was a homemaker most of her life and her family will always remember her great cooking. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 4 brothers and her 3 sisters.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Mark and Beki Broome, Sr. and Jason and Marie Broome; her daughter, April Broome Yeary; her grandchildren, Jonathan Ely (Danielle), Shanna Ely, Lauren Burnette (Jesse), Megan Broome, Mark Broome, Jr., Madison Broome and Morgan Broome; her 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Linda Hicks (Earl); her Partner of 38 years, Jimmy Jacks; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with Mother Melissa L. Kean officiating. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Charles Edward Young, age 76, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at a local hospital.
Mr. Young was born on July 16, 1943, the son of late Willis Young and Mildred Ammonds Young. He was a Boilermaker by trade. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Jerry Young, one sister; Louise Kilgo.
Survivors include his wife; Darlene Young; children; Charles Young Jr., Scott Young, Ryan Tippens, and Tammy Cochran; seven grandchildren also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Elizabeth D. Echols, age 94, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at her son’s home in Conyers, Georgia.
Mrs. Echols was born in Floyd County, Georgia, on October 28, 1924, youngest daughter of the late James Woodson Daniel and the late Maude LeCroy Daniel.
She was a member of the former Fifth Avenue Baptist Church.
Mrs. Echols was a nurse at Floyd Medical Center for many years and was involved in various charitable and community activities in connection with her church work.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Larkin Farmer and William Elbert Echols III; by her sisters, Eunice Freeman, Floria Simpson, and Allie Giles; by brothers, D.A. Daniel and Howard Daniel; as well as several nieces and nephews and her special friend, Lynn Teague.
Mrs. Echols is survived by her daughter, Ellen Farmer Coleman (Clyde); her sons, David Echols and W. Bryan Echols (Rita); her grandchildren, Steven Coleman (Alyson), Matthew Coleman (Simone), Jason Kimbrough, and Casey Echols; her great grandchildren, Madison Coleman, Connor Coleman, and Lucas Coleman.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at Good Shepherd Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Rabern officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
