Rome Police: Second Avenue now clear after rescue situation on the footbridge. All involved are safe.

Second Avenue near the levee is now cleared after an emergency situation on the old footbridge. According to Sgt. Chase Burnes with Rome Police, a female climbed over the fence on the bridge and was threatening to jump. Officers were able to calm her down and talked her back over the fence to safety. She was transported to Floyd for evaluation.
