Media release: Investigators have made two arrests for vandalism and theft that occurred Sunday night at the concession stand of the Pepperell High School football stadium. Approximately $300 in stolen candy and drinks has been recovered.

Two 13-year-old eighth graders from the Pepperell school district were charged Wednesday with second-degree felony burglary, second-degree felony criminal damage to property and misdemeanor theft and criminal trespass. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents and will appear in Floyd County Juvenile Court for the offense that caused more than $1,000 in damage.

Officers responded Monday morning to a break-in at the weight room and concession stand at the high school. A coach advised that a door was forced open and a roll up door was damaged that covered the front service window. The inside of the room was ransacked; cooler doors were shattered and a microwave oven broken. The field house also was entered and water turned on but nothing was damaged or stolen.

The investigation is still ongoing to determine if there are possible links with this case and another in June at Pepperell Middle School, which is currently being remodeled.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Floyd County Police.
