HHPodcast News: Enough already with 100-degree heat. Summerville Park hotel fight is city’s problem to fix. Fatal accident on I-75. Rant of the Day.

Your home of where today’s issues are heard; we’ll leave the softball fluff for radio:
  • The Ware Mechanical forecast calls for another sizzler on the way following  Monday’s high of 100 degrees, just short of the record of 104. We’re still watching an area in the Gulf for potential tropical depression development.
  • Summerville Park neighbors have asked the City Commission for help — and soon — in their bid to stop a Sleep Inn at Martha Berry and Charlton. ‘There’s already stuff happening,’ neighbor Eric McDowell told the board.
  • The state patrol is investigating a Monday evening traffic death on I-75 near Adairsville. A passenger in a vehicle was ejected when a tire blew, causing the Ford Explorer to overturn.
  • Health: A change of pace for Harbin Clinic’s Walk With a Doc in July, including an art stop. Plus Floyd adds a workshop for dads-to-be.
  • Rant of the Day: The Summerville Park hotel fight needs to be fought by the city, starting today, as Rome is responsible for allowing it to happen.
