OUTLOOK

Storm aftermath: Chattooga County continues to cleanup after storms there Thursday evening. More than 20 trees were down and as many as 1,000 customers were without power.

Today: Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into evening across portions of the area. Isolated strong storms cannot be ruled out with gusty winds, occasional lightning and heavy rain.

Saturday-early next week: Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible across the area this weekend as well as Wednesday and Thursday. Some strong storms are possible and isolated severe cannot be ruled out. While chances decrease for Monday and Tuesday, some isolated development is still possible.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly clear, with a low around 71.
