DINING & DRINK
Rome City Brewing Co.’s first Crawfish Boil on Saturday night was a big hit. From Rome City Brewing Co.: “Such a fun evening at our first crawfish boil! We’ll def be doing this again. Thank you to everyone for making it so much fun. Be looking for us and our next #CommunityCookout coming in July! Huge thanks to Matt Plant for bringing his talents here to Broad Street in downtown Rome. The crawfish were AMAZING!”
- Next up at Rome City Brewing: A community cookout in early July. Barbecue craftsman Tim Ayers on the grill.
Celebrating Fathers Day: Yup, we dads enjoy a nice meal out, perhaps heavy on red meat and light on the kale. Our advice: Shop the Facebook pages of your favorite spots around town to ensure they’re doing a brunch our steak out or whatever. Also, be sure they take reservations. Hang up the phone if they don’t. We tried one well-known go-to spot in Floyd County and basically were told first-come, first served and be ready to wait if there’s more than a few in your party. They’ll be waiting a long time before we ever consider going there again.
