PAULA JASPER: … announce the promotion of Paula Jasper to Vice President Retail Lending and Deposits. Ms. Jasper, one of the most tenured employees, has been with the bank for 21 years. Over the years, she has served in the roles of Head Teller, Customer Service Supervisor, Branch Manager, Personal Banker and Consumer Lender.
“I am proud to have been an employee of Greater Community Bank for over two decades” said Ms. Jasper. “Though the financial industry has changed over the years, the mission of our bank – to provide superlative community banking services – has remained the same.”
Said David Lance, president and chief executive officer: “Employees that faithfully serve at one institution for as long as Paula, hold a wealth of knowledge. She serves as a mentor for our younger bankers, and is a go-to person on almost any subject. We are pleased to recognize her efforts and dedication.”
After serving in the United States Navy, Ms. Jasper began her banking career at Nation’s Bank in 1994 as a part-time teller and then moved to AmSouth as a full-time Head Teller before joining Greater Rome Bank.
Ms. Jasper has served as a Rome Floyd Chamber Ambassador earning the title Ambassador of the Quarter and a board member/Treasurer for Building Positive Families. She participates in several local community and school events and serves on the Appalachian Housing Board.
A resident of Rome, Ms. Jasper has two adult children. She is a member of Metropolitan United Methodist Church where she serves as pianist/music coordinator for four choirs and cooks breakfast for the Metro Kids, a community outreach program for youth.
WENDY HUCKABY: …announce the promotion of Wendy Huckaby to Vice President, Compliance Officer. Ms. Huckaby joined the Bank in 2014 as Compliance Officer. She plays a crucial role in the oversight of the Bank’s Compliance and BSA Programs, Internal Audit, and Risk Management.
“I am thankful for the opportunities I’ve been afforded at Greater Community Bank and look forward to contributing to the bank’s continued success,” said Ms. Huckaby.
Said Lance: “Wendy has vast knowledge and in-depth experience in compliance and risk management. She has shown a true dedication to the bank, and we are extremely happy to award her with this promotion.”
Wendy, a native of Rome, graduated from Converse College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. In addition to her work at Greater Community Bank, she is a member of the Rome Noon Optimist Club, and a member of Hollywood Baptist Church where she teaches pre-school Sunday School and AWANA. She and her husband, Gary, have been married for 23 years and they have two children, Kiah and Kelsie Grace.
ANTWUAN J. HILLIS: … welcome Antwuan J. Hill as Credit Analyst. Mr. Hill, an experienced professional with expertise in underwriting, risk management and loan administration, has more than 13 years of banking experience. His skills in individual and commercial credit analysis, as well as concentration management, will enhance the lending function of the bank.
“I am excited to join a bank with such a high commitment to quality,” said Mr. Hill. “I look forward to contributing to the continued success of Greater Community Bank.”
Mr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and a MBA from the Ken Blanchard College of Business, Grand Canyon University. A graduate of the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending at Vanderbilt University, Mr. Hill has completed numerous professional trainings and certifications.

Mr. Hill currently serves on the Bartow County Land Bank board as Treasurer. He resides in Cartersville with his wife and four children, and attends Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
