A case that began with a standoff with officers last week has ended with a Rome man arrested on more than 40 counts.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office earlier this week posted a Facebook appeal for assistance in finding Anzrielle Antipartris Smith, 22, of a Williams Street address. The post said Smith faced, among other charges, four counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, false imprisonment and multiple traffic citations.
He was arrested Thursday at the intersection of Ga. 20 and Ga. 100 in Coosa. The arresting officer is listed as Trooper Jeremy Battle of the Georgia State Patrol. The resulting post from the sheriff’s office:
“Suspect is in custody. Great work, guys!”
