Mr. Joseph “Wayne” Cochran, age 75, of Rome passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Cochran was born on February 3, 1944, in Floyd County, Ga., son of the late Calvin Coolidge Cochran and the late Clara Elizabeth Cook Cochran. He attended Pepperell High School and acquired his GED. Prior to retirement in 1996, Wayne was associated with Reeves Transportation as a terminal manager for over 25 years. He was hard working and loved his work. Wayne was devoted to watching the news and was passionate in talking about current events. He enjoyed being outside, he was a self-taught “fix it” man and he found great pleasure in showing his grandson how to do stuff.
Survivors include his wife, the former Linda Marie Christian, to whom he was married on November 6, 1966; a son, Bradley Wayne Cochran, Rome; a daughter, Casie Cochran Ramey (John), Calhoun; two grandchildren, Sarah Kate Cochran, Jacksonville, AL, Seth Langley, Calhoun; sister, Gail Neal (Douglas), Coosa; two step-sisters, Viola Hester and Lucy Meacham, both of Lithia Springs; step-brother, Ron King (Judy), Gulf Shores, AL; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 4 p.m., in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Mr. Michael Duvall and Mr. Bradley W. Cochran officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday at the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, from 3 p.m. until the service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorial contributions be made to Redemption Church Youth Ministries, 105 Broadus Rd NE, Rome, GA 30161.
Dalton Parker Bohanan, age 32, passed away unexpectedly June 10, 2019 in Milwaukee, Wisc.
Dalton was born in Rome, Ga.,on August 19, 1986, to John Eric Bohanan and the late Phyllis Roberson Holden Bohanan. He was a graduate of Armuchee High School. Dalton was a accomplished musician and toured the United States and Canada with a for several years before moving to Wisconsin.
Survivors include his son, Lennon, Grey Bohanan, fiancé, Elizabeth Jarvis, father, John “Ric” Bohanan, stepmother, Susan Kaiser Bohanan, grandmother, Montine Culpepper Bohanan, sister, Shawnee Holden several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Services for Dalton will be held at a later date.

Mr. Mayfield Barnett, 80, of Rome, Georgia, passed away, Sunday, June 9, 2019.
Services for Mr. Barnett, will be Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Grace Apostolic Church, 7 Mill St., Cave Spring. Georgia.
He will lie in-state from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in the Padlock Cemetery, Cave Spring, Georgia.
