Friday: Rome for the Rescues: Rock, Roll & Rescue. ‘The Party of the Summer’ begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Vogue. Presented by Harvest Moon Cafe and sponsored by Woodford Clothing.┬áThe annual event is the largest animal welfare fundraising event in our community; it raised $56,000 in 2018.

With those proceeds, “we have paid for spay/neuter surgeries for 450 animals, provided much needed funding to local animal welfare organizations, constructed a shade area for the outdoor dog space at PAWS, and assisted with medical, boarding, and transportation expenses for cats and dogs leaving our shelter. In an effort to improve the lives of animals in our community, we have assisted with the formation of North Georgia Animal Partnership. This partnership brings together civic leaders and representatives from local animal welfare organizations so that effective collaboration and community engagement can take place. NGAP supports the work of our local shelter and serves to bring about positive changes for animals in need.”

Rock, Roll & Rescue features food and beverages from Harvest Moon Cafe, live music all evening and a live auction. Tickets start at $80. For more.
