Cedartown Police: Two Floyd County teens jailed, third sought in May 21 drive-by shooting that injured 18-year-old man.

Cedartown Police media release: Two arrests have been made in conjunction will the May 21 drive-by shooting on Ladue Avenue that left an 18-year-old with injuries.

Two suspects have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Arrested were Dadrian Wright and Tynerious Chambers, both 17, from Floyd County. Another suspect, Jajuan Hunter, also of Floyd County, has an active warrant out for his arrest.

Wright also was arrested by Rome Police on May 28, a week after the Cedartown shooting, on two counts of of possession of a pistol or revolver by someone under the age of 18 as well as theft by receiving stolen property, jail records show.

Courtesy of WGAA 1340 AM and 106.1 FM: Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome said the victim was shot at 6:45 p.m. on Ladue Avenue, which runs the length of Third through Fifth streets off West Avenue near Goodyear Village.

A single gunshot struck and hit an 18-year-old male. Newsome described the injuries as non life-threatening but man was transported to the hospital for further treatment. The victim’s name is being held at this time. Investigators are actively working the case, Newsome said.
