Obituaries: Mr. William Gregory “Greg” Beard, Mr. Anthony Heath, Mrs. Jeanette Henderson, Mrs. Hilda B. Lofton-Hunt, Mr. Jayven Jackson, Mr. Brandon Jeremy Moulton and Mrs. Brenda Ware

Mr. William Gregory “Greg” Beard, age 57, of Lindale, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Beard was born in Rome, Georgia on July 16, 1961, son of Madge Holcomb Winslett and the late William Setze Beard.  He was a member of Dykes Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Beard worked for several years on the line crew at Georgia Power and then worked as Events Coordinator at Georgia Highlands College.  He loved racing, especially Dale Earnhardt, and enjoyed grilling.

Survivors include his wife, Lane Cooper Beard; five children, Jason Beard (Angela), Lindale, Kandice Allen (Paul), Kingston, Summer Beard (Dalton), Rome, Will Beard, Cave Spring, and Lexi Beard, Lindale; five grandchildren, Jaycee Beard, Branson Beard, Ross Allen, Carson Allen and Bentley Beard; step children; step grandchildren; his parents, Ron & Madge Winslett, Silver Creek; a sister, Lynn Holloway (Tim), Silver Creek; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Eric Whelchel officiating.  Interment will follow in the family lot at Pleasant Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30pm until the service time.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday at 1:30pm and include: Jason Beard, Will Beard, Tim Holloway, Dalton Gibbs, Skylar Cobb and Paul Allen.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.


Services for Mr. Anthony Heath will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 12 noon at F.K. Jones Funeral Home in Peek Chapel. Please keep the Heath Family lifted up in prayer. Mr. Heath will lie instate in Peek Chapel from 10 am until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Jeanette Henderson, of Rome, Georgia, passed away, Saturday, June 8, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones.

Services for Mrs. Henderson, are incomplete at this time but will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Hilda B. Lofton-Hunt, 76, of Rome, Georgia, passed away, Friday, June 7, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones.

Services for Mrs. Hunt, are incomplete at this time but will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Jayven Jackson, age 18, of Dallas, Ga. transitioned June 7, 2019. Complete arrangements will follow at a later date. Please keep the family lifted up in prayer.

Mr. Brandon Jeremy Moulton, age 42, of Cartersville, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Moulton was born in Floyd County, Georgia on July 20, 1976, son of Danny Moulton and the late Conita Jean Stephens Fuller.  He was a Graduate of Coosa High School and Coosa Valley Tech.  He was an employee Beaulieu Carpets as an electrician. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Anthony Fuller.

Survivors include his wife, the former Amy Michelle Olive, to who he was married, October 9, 2004; 2 sons, Dylan Moulton and Gavin Moulton, Cartersville;  his father and step mother, Danny and Debbie Moulton, Rome; a sister, Beth Robinson, Rome; his mother and father-in-law, Ray and Joann Olive of Rome; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Sunday, June 9, 2019, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.  The Rev. Harold Ingram and Rev. Jarrod Roberts will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2pm until time for the service.

Mrs. Brenda Ware, 56, of Rome, Georgia, passed away, Thursday, June 6, 2019, at a local hospital.

Services for Mrs. Ware will be Sunday, June 9, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 500 N Division St. Rome, Georgia 30165.

She will lie in-state from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. Interment will follow on Monday, June 10,2019, in the East View Cemetery, Rome, Georgia.
