Sunny Shropshire Knauss is about “this close” to opening Sunflour Community Bakery at 500 Avenue A at North Fifth Avenue in Rome. She continues to deliver to a few sites around town and was a big player in Saturday’s Between the Rivers Farmers Market. Along the way, she continues to prep the new bakery as the top photo shows (from her Facebook page). As for opening, she wrote last week, “Getting there, y’all! Will announce retail hours as soon as we get all the building details nailed down… (pun intended!)”
Two more superstars named: Congratulations to Andi Rouse Beyer and Doug Walker for being the latest two winners of the 2019 Superstar of Service Award from the Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau. The crew at Rome Knitterati in a Facebook post wrote how thankful members are for “all the hard work you put into making our city awesome.”
