WEEKEND IMAGES

Saturday’s early rain threat didn’t stop the crowds at the Between the Rivers Farmers Market at Bridgepoint Plaza. The market and the Georgia Highlands’ graduation kept downtown Rome buzzing. Hometown photo.

DINING:

Mom’s day better be more than a pizza (unless she’s into that): Your best bet is to call mom’s favorite and try to beg your way in at this late hour. Check the Facebook posts first and, if she leaves it up to you, try something different. Rome, Cartersville, Cave Spring, Acworth — lots of options. Just be sure to get a spot that takes reservations.

DRINKING:

From Rome City Brewing Co.: “New beer alert. We’re tapping Peggy’s 2.0 this weekend. This West Coast-style IPA is low on malt and high on hops.” Tap Room, 333 Broad St., open at noon Sunday.

Off Broad Lounge at Hawthorn Suites: “This week try a beautiful Empress Gimlet. Empress Gin gets it’s incredible color from butterfly pea blossoms.”
