  • Berry College graduation, 9 a.m. (Moves into Cage Center if wet)
  • Canceled: Ellen Axson Wilson Arts Fest, downtown Rome.

From Rome DDA: After careful consideration, the determination has been made to cancel today’s downtown ArtsFest, which includes the Ellen Axson Wilson Art Walk and outdoor concerts, due to severe weather. This was a joint decision between city staff and EMA (Emergency Management Agency). The safety of attendees and participants always comes first. We value the time and effort RACA artists put into creating their works of art, and would not want to compromise these goods. We also greatly appreciate the singers and bands scheduled to kick-off our concert season, along with all the crews. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you all at the next Downtown Saturday events. The Spirit of the Sun Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st.

  • Taste of Cartersville, downtown, noon-6 p.m.
  • State high school tennis championships, boys and girls, at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.
