Second Avenue Baptist Church the site of this year’s Community Holy Week Services in Rome, which is open to all on April 15-17. The church is at 823 E. Second Ave.
- Wednesday, April 17: Community Service, Noon. Rev. Jeff Chadwick, First Presbyterian, Preaching.
HOLY WEEK
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 101 E. Fourth Ave., Rome.
- April 18 – Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m., nursery available
- April 19 – Good Friday at noon, nursery available
- April 20 – Easter Vigil at 9 p.m.
- April 21 – Easter services at 9 and 11:15 a.m. Breakfast served between services, nursery available.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 911 N. Broad St., Rome:
- Holy Thursday, 7:30 p.m., followed by Adoration from 8 p.m. until midnight.
- Good Friday: 3 p.m. Stations of the Cross/Last Seven Words.
- Easter Vigil: 8:30 p.m., bilingual service.
- Easter: 8, 9:30, 9:35, 11, 11:05 a.m. English; 12:30 and 2 p.m (Spanish)
St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 42 Ash St., Rome
- April 18: 6:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday Holy Communion
- April 19: 5:45 p.m. Nave open for Stations of the Cross
- April 19: 6:30 p.m. Good Friday service
- April 20: 9 10:40 a.m. Confession Available
- April 21: 9:30 a.m. Easter Holy Communion followed by refreshments and Egg Hunt.
Metropolitan United Methodist Church, Broad Street:
- Thursday, April 18, 6 p.m., Apage Meal and Holy Communion. “An invitation to the table of God.”
North Broad Baptist Church, 1309 N. Broad St. NE
- April 19: 6 p.m., Good Friday Service: “Luke’s Version of the Crucifixion”
- April 21: 10:50 a.m. Easter Worship “ A Resurrection Celebration”
West Rome Baptist Church, 914 Shorter Ave. NW.
- April 19: “Journey to the Cross,” Good Friday Service. Set for April 19, Journey to the Cross is a self-guided interactive museum-style tour of the last days of Jesus’ life. Included are the Last Supper, the garden of Gethsemane, the courtyard the crucifixion, and the tomb. The event begins at 9 a.m. and the Good Friday Service begins at 6 p.m.
- Easter Sunday service times – 9 and 10:30 a.m.
Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 1818 Kingston Highway SE, Rome
- April 17: 6- 7 p.m., Bible Study. “He Chose To Give Us Confidence”
