From Georgia DOT: Here’s some good news for motorists on Highway 100 in Floyd & Polk counties. All work on the 10 mile project to resurface Hwy 100 has been completed. A big thank you for those who travel on Hwy 100 for their cooperation and patience. Enjoy the smoother and safer ride!
The Chieftains Herb and Plant Sale continues today from 12-3 p.m. in the Community Building at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, rain or shine. The sale features over 30 + varieties of herbs, native, and unique heirloom plants. Plenty of annuals and perennials will be available, allowing customers a chance to refresh their sun or shade plants after the harsh winter. Knowledgeable volunteers and Master Gardeners will be on hand to help you select the right herbs and plants for your garden. Credit and debit cards will be accepted in addition to checks and cash. All proceeds benefit Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home. The Herb & Plant Sale is sponsored by Friends of Chieftains Museum, Inc.
