Hometown Steak and Que will be opening in early May 2019 at 100 Covered Bridge Road in Euharlee, inside the old Johnny Mitchell’s Smokehouse location. Owner Gary Chauhan currently operates a smokehouse deli inside his Stop N Go Chevron station at 806 Euharlee Road and will be expanding into the restaurant. He had hoped to open last month but he is still working to complete a number of upgrades to the building including a new kitchen, bathroom and decor.

“We will be serving top of the line steak and barbecue. I currently have a smokehouse outside my station and we will be offering the same great food at the restaurant including brisket and our popular smoked chicken wings. We serve some 2,000 wings a week at the station now,” says Chauhan. “We will also be serving beer and wine. We will also have lots of other items including a meatloaf special and a kids’ menu.”

Chauhan will open with lunch and dinner service but plans to add breakfast as soon as he can line up the “right” crew. “This will be the first time dine-in breakfast in Euharlee so I want the right crew in place. I have been talking to some local ladies who make biscuits from scratch and hope to get folks lined-up soon.”

The new restaurant will offer catering services. The deli will remain open at the Chevron station as well. Business hours are still tentative but the restaurant will be open Tuesday-Sunday. Brunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday.

Chauhan will be hiring 25-30 staff members including a restaurant manager, experienced chefs, wait staff and food servers. Please visit the Stop N Go Chevron to complete an application or call the station at 770-386-5411 for more information.
