Business: February was kind of all wet for area Realtors as well –overall home sales, listings down but some bright spots in Floyd, Bartow, Gordon counties.

 

February was an up-and-down month for Greater Rome Realtors. A look at some of the key indicators from the Greater Rome Board of Realtors which shows:

  • Up: Home sales with 75 units closed, up 1.4 percent from February 2018.
  • Down: Average price of a home sold, or 12.8 percent.
  • Up: Active listings to 333, up 6.4 percent.

Bartow County: Drops in home sales, active listings and new listings.

  • Total single family home sales: 88 (15.4% decrease)
  • Average sales price: $215,000 (12.6% increase)
  • Total active listings: 298 (2.9% decrease)
  • New listings: 92 (12.4% decrease)

Gordon County: Big cut in home sales as well as active listings, new listings.

  • Total single family home sales: 23 (28.1% decrease)
  • Average sales price: $195,000 (15.4% increase)
  • Total active listings: 136 (13.4% decrease)
  • New listings: 32 (34.7% decrease)
