FastTrac Car Wash sets May opening in Rockmart: Tucked between Chick-fil-A and Martin’s Restaurant at 1464 Chattahoochee Drive in Rockmart is the latest Fast Trac Car Wash, part of a metro Atlanta group that promises a clean vehicle in three minutes as well as free vacuums. Fast Trac currently has stores in Marietta and Smyrna, both open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. seven days a week. The metro locations also offer emissions tests. We’ve got calls and emails into the main office seeking details on a projected opening date as well as any hiring. We’ll update soon.

Rome City Lux debuts Friday. Speaking of suds, there’s a new brew from the brew crew on Broad Street. From Facebook: “To say we are excited about Trent (Prault’s) latest creation would be an understatement. We’ve been working on perfecting this Light American Lager all winter. It’s finally right, light and ready. Just in time for spring. We’ll release this beer on Friday and celebrate it all St. Pattys Day weekend at Rome City Brewing Co.” The tapping is set for 6 p.m. with a free acoustic show at 8:30 p.m. featuring Shane Rehburg. Green beer will be flowing.

Weekend: Big crowds due in downtown Rome, Cartersville. It starts Friday at the Courtyard Rome Riverwalk with a ribbon cutting, one-year anniversary and St. Patrick’s Day patio celebration. Music, food, libations. Saturday, the Home & Garden Expo returns to The Forum, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (look for our buddies at Ware Mechanical). Up next: The Harbin Clinic Leprechaun-a-thon with probably 1,500-plus, concluding at Town Green amid a sea of foam. In Cartersville: The St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl returns Friday and Saturday evenings.
