Five years ago, local entrepreneur Shasta Farrer took a leap of faith and opened Shasta Daisies Boutique at 610 Shorter Avenue and now she is preparing to expand her business on a new level. Due to increasing demand for online sales and limited store space, Farrer is closing her storefront and moving her business to a warehouse focused on online and social media sales.

“We will be closing the storefront on March 23,” says Farrer. “I thought 5 years ago that all my dreams had come true, but little did I know that God would open even bigger doors for Shasta Daisies Boutique. It’s been an amazing 5 years and I can’t wait to see what God has for the future.”

With the warehouse move, Farrer will be expanding her offerings to include not only clothing for tweens, ladies and curvy girls, but she will also offer shoes, accessories, jewelry and more. She will still do vinyl and embroidery orders as well with pick-up and drop-off at her Cutting Edge Salon, located just a few doors down from the boutique in same shopping center on Shorter Avenue.

“We are going to be able to expand out so much with e-commerce. There are so many things we wanted to offer before, but we just didn’t have the space because we were limited by these four walls. Now we can offer so much more,” she says.

Shasta Daisies Boutique will launch a revamped website and upgraded social media platforms on April 1. Customers will be able to shop from the website or directly from the Facebook page. They will offer free shipping on orders of $40 or more, plus same-day and next-day shipping options will be available.

“Turnaround times will be faster and customer service will be even better,” she says. “I also will be expanding our Picking Daisies clothing line that we started 2 years ago. I’ve wanted to do more with it, but just haven’t had the time and now we will be able to.”

Farrer plans to do some ‘pop-up’ boutiques and trunk shows throughout the year for customers who want to “touch and feel” and try on clothing items. Those sales will be announced on the boutique’s Facebook page. She hopes to have her first one later this spring.

“We are going to start a vlog with how-to videos and videos with our products. We will be doing lots of things to keep those relationships with our customers…they really won’t be missing anything,” says Farrer.  “This will also allow me to get back out to the community and to our schools with fundraisers like I’ve done in the past. We just haven’t had the time with the storefront, but now will have the time.

“I feel so blessed and thankful for each and every person who has supported Shasta Daisies Boutique and will continue to support us and cheer us on with our new warehouse expansion. Big things are coming your way and I can’t wait to start revealing them when we launch at the warehouse on April 1st.”

A moving sale is underway now at the storefront with 30% off all products, except the Charles River line. Customers can shop online at www.shastadaisiesboutique.com or phone orders will continue to be accepted by calling 706-266-9785.
