THE LATEST

Be careful for potential ice patches on area roads as we were at a morning low of 27 degrees at 5:30 a.m. You know about Tuesday’s fatal accident in Rome caused by ice.

We’re under a freeze warning until noon and then a new one begins at 8 p.m.

There’s an increased fire danger today because of low humidity and vegetation already killed by recent freezes.

Flood warnings continue for two local waterways with another 1.5 inches of rain due over the weekend.
