Cherokee County/Weiss Lake: Flood victims can report damage using new email.

The Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency has set up an email address to allow flood victims to report their damage via email. You can send those reports along with any photos of the damage to Please include the following information:

1.) Name of resident.
2.) Name of property owner (if the property owner and resident is not the same).
3.) Physical Address of the location that received damage.
4.) Contact number that you can be contacted at.

You may also submit your damage reports at the link below. This is a form that you can complete on your smart device and once submitted, it will come directly to the Cherokee County Emergency Operations Center.


About flood damage: If you have experienced damage due to recent flooding, the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency needs to hear from you.

Beginning Monday, March 4, EMA Officials are asking that you contact the Emergency Operations Center at (256) 927-3367 to report your damage.

You will be asked to provide your name, address and a contact number.

This will assist EMA Officials in ensuring your damage is reported to the proper authorities during the recovery/cleanup process.

Current needs are listed as non scented hand sanitizer, unscented/ low scented laundry pods, unscented dryer sheets, individual chips and other snacks, pop tarts, flip flops for shower shoes (all sizes) towels, wash clothes, paper towels, toilet paper, rubber gloves, bottled water, lysol, cleaning spray, 13 gallon trash bags, Bunn coffee filters.
