Little Caesar’s is starting work on opening its new East Rome location, one that will come with drive-through service similar to that in West Rome.

Contacted this week as yellow tape went up around the site as …. and heavy equipment arrived on scene, Michael Lover — chief executive office of Quantum Restaurants in Chattanooga — confirmed that “we are finally starting demo/construction for our new Little Caesars store.  This store will have a full drive-through to make it even easier for our customers to get their Hot-N-Ready pizza.”

Little Caesars replaces the Magic Wand Car Wash at 1710 Turner McCall Blvd. The franchise had to get a few zoning variances approved before beginning demolition. For now, the company’s West Rome location on Shorter Avenue  is handling the East Rome crowd.

The original East Rome location on Hicks Drive closed at the end of June as Ledbetter Properties took control of the former Kmart site. Look for a new retail center to replace Kmart and the small strip center that housed Little Caesar’s with demolition work beginning with in the next month or two. Several new retailers and restaurants are planned.
