OUTLOOK

Rain returns: About a half-inch of rain Friday night into Saturday, and then from Saturday afternoon into Monday, look for a light, steady rain. Temperatures will remain near normal (upper 50s) with a few days in the mid 60s.

From the National Weather Service’s Peachtree City office: “Enjoy the dry day today! Unfortunately, a very rainy pattern will persist through the coming week. Forecast rainfall totals would likely lead to increased flooding potential by next week.”

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of light rain, mainly after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. South wind around 5 mph.

Friday: A chance of showers or light rain before 7am, then a chance of showers after 7am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Friday Night: Showers. Low around 51. South wind around 5 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Saturday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday: A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.
