Exactly two weeks after authorities say he committed one of the most savage attacks in Polk County history, a Cartersville man is in the county jail awaiting trail on four counts of malice murder, aggravated battery and felony theft by taking.
Polk County Jail records show Daylon Delon Gamble, 27, was booked into the detention center at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, two weeks to the day after twin shootings that left four people dead and another man seriously injured.
The shootings took place on Thursday night, Jan. 24; law enforcement authorities throughout Northwest Georgia, the state and eventually the nation began a search for Gamble after he was identified by local authorities as the suspect in the shootings. He was arrested without incident in Indianapolis on Jan. 27.
A joint investigation into the shootings continues.
