Is there a higher honor than your own hash tag? Ask Al Hodge, the Rome Floyd Chamber’s departing president and chief executive officer, who’ll be honored at Thursday’s annual meeting at Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Aviation Training Center at Richard B. Russell Regional Airport/Towers Field. The above photo collage, one for each of his years with the chamber, was part of the group’s Monday briefing to members. They couldn’t resist the Hodge trademark line, “#Goodstuffthat!” Hodge leaves the chamber this week with a retirement date set for April. Jeanne Krueger takes over as interim director at Thursday’s annual meeting. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. with the program ta 6:30 p.m. Individual tickets are $60 with additional options available. For more: Romega.com

“This award is very special for us because it comes from a dream that was turned into a reality in 2007.  FTM Travel is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and has earned the high distinction of being EarMarked by Disney Destinations,” says Shadday.. “We have established relationships with industry partners we trust to provide superb vacation options around the world.  We have 22 agents throughout the United States that work along with us to turn vacation dreams into dream vacations.  This recognition from the University of Georgia Alumni Association is an incredible honor to us all.”

The 2019 Bulldog 100 includes businesses of all sizes and from industries such as real estate, dining, technology and retail. Companies are based as far north as New York and as far west as California. Of the 100 businesses, 80 are within Georgia.

“The Bulldog 100 program provides us with the opportunity to applaud the outstanding achievements of our graduates, broaden networks and inspire each other in our shared commitment,” said Meredith Johnson, executive director of the UGA Alumni Association. “These alumni are leading the way in business and building better communities.”

Business applicants were measured by their compounded annual growth rate during a three-year period. The Atlanta office of Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors verified the information submitted by each company. On Jan. 26, the UGA Alumni Association will host an event to celebrate the Bulldog 100 and count down the ranked list to the No. 1 business. To view the full alphabetical list of honorees and to learn more about the Bulldog 100, see www.alumni.uga.edu/b100.
