An Alabama man died in a one-car accident in Bartow County Thursday night. According to the Georgia State Patrol, on Jan. 10, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Vehicle #1 (2002 Nissan Maxima) was traveling on south on I-75 in the left lane attempting to negotiate a right curve. Driver #1 traveled off the east side of the roadway, into the median, proceeded through a ditch and continued up an embankment. Vehicle #1 continued southbound in the median and began to rotate counter-clockwise, striking a tree with its right side as it came to an uncontrolled rest, facing east. The areas of impact were on I-75 South in the center median. The driver, Jackson D. Rumley, age 21 of Madison, AL, was fatally injured.
