Mrs. Melissa Ann Arnold, age 49, of Cartersville, Ga. transitioned December 29, 2018.

Melissa Ann “Boosie” Banks-Arnold was born on July 17, 1969 to Margaret Ann Banks and Arthur Lee Stephens, in Cartersville, Georgia. She was raised in Kingston and Rome, Georgia and educated in the Rome City School System. At an early age Melissa showed her tendency for caring for others. This was a trait that she would carry with her for her entire life. Melissa was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith and a strong believer in giving whenever and whatever she could. As an adult, she started Whispering Pines Personal Care Home, where she cared for disabled adults who were not able to live alone and care for themselves. Although most of them were as old as, or even older than she was, she cared for them as her own children. Even in death, Melissa kept giving by being an organ donor.

Melissa was predeceased by her parents; her step-father, Robert McKnight; her grandparents, James and Mattie Peeks, and Tommy and Alice Stephens; her sister, Tedra Banks; and her precious son, Ronnie Arnold, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Ronnie Arnold, Sr., of Cartersville, Georgia; step-mother, Louise Mitchell, of Marlin, Texas; son, Jabarri Sewell, Sr. (Markayla Harris), of Cartersville, Georgia; honorary daughter, Donna Bell, of Rome, Georgia; grandchildren, Jabarri Sewell, Jr, Denisha Williams, and Gerald Bell, Jr.; brothers, Stacy Banks (Carolyn), of Cartersville, Georgia, and Bobby Banks, of Marietta, Georgia; sisters, Kassi Zachery (Robert), of Rome, Georgia, Darlene Banks (Marvin), of Marlin, Texas, Charlene Stephens, of Acworth, Georgia, and Marlene Philbert (Lindy) of Covington, Georgia; and two special people who she always referred to as “My Girls”, Dora Bennett and Clarissa White. Melissa also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her fur baby, Taco.
