State Championships for high school football:
  • Class 2A: Rockmart vs. Heard Co., Dec. 12 at 1 p.m., Mercedes Benz Stadium.  Polk County Schools will be closed on Dec. 12 for the championship game.
  • Class 4A: Cartersville vs. Blessed Trinity, Dec. 12 at 4:30 p.m., Mercedes Benz Stadium. Cartersville City Schools will have a half-day of class on Dec. 12 for the championship game.
