Mr. Bobby Charles Blair, age 86, of Rome, passed away Thursday November 22, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mr. Blair was born July 29, 1932, in San Angelo, Texas, a son of the late Richard Blair, and Faye Gregory Blair. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mr. Blair was owner of Blair Appliance before his retirements, he was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, where he served in the Korean War, he was member of Marine Corp League. Mr. Blair was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McClain Blair, step father, C. R. Cunningham.
Survivors include his son and daughter in law, Charles and Christy Blair, Kingston; grandchildren, Jonathan (Terri) Blair, Austin Blair, Trevor Blair, Tyler Sutton, great grandson, Caleb Blair, brother, Travis Blair, sister, Glenda Walker, half brother, Gordon Cunningham, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 3:00 Monday November, 26, 2018 at East View Cemetery, with Rev. Nanci Hicks, officiating, eulogy by Gene Free, and Hal Gosnell Shanklin-Attaway Post Five Honor Guard will conduct military rites. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday November 25, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Honorary pallbearers include: Fred Kerce, Brad Kerce, Terry Murphy, Britt Williams, Joe Finger, Al Finger, Jeff Duncan, Bob Moss, Jonathan Blair, Austin Blair, Trevor Blair, and Tyler Sutton.

Gabino Cruz Cornejo, 82, of Rome passed away Thursday morning, November 22, 2018 at his residence.
A native of Mexico, Mr. Cornejo was born October 22, 1936, son of Serato Cornejo and Monica Cruz Cornejo. He was a farmer , and enjoyed good food and music, and sitting outside in the sunshine. Mr. Cornejo was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include sons Baltizar,Dionicio, Jose Luis, Serapio, Saul, and Wilfredo Cornejo; daughters Gracia, Susana, Concepcion, Eva, Rosa, and Elena Cornejo; A brother Heron Cornejo, sister Maria Cornejo, and 44 grandchildren also survive.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, November 26, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family is receiving friends Sunday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
Russell Morrison, known to several as “Leon” passed from this life to join his wife of 58 years Clara Faye Brown Morrison, on November 22nd, 2018 at the age of 81 years.
Russell was a loving father to a son, Nick and 3 daughters, Cheryl (husband Rocky), Donna (husband Bryan) and Lisa. He was a wonderful, loving grandfather to 5 grandchildren-Charlie Stanley, Adam Reynolds, Josh Reynolds (Amber), Emily Williams (Brandon), and Joseph Fountain (Stefanie)-better known to them as “Biggun”. Russell was also a proud great grandfather to six great grandchildren-MacKenzie, Matthew, Laurelyn, Camden, Annabelle and Russy.
Russell was also survived by his siblings-Glenn Morrison (June), Donnie Morrison (Charlotte), Mike Morrison, Bo Waters (Linda), and Doris Bolt.
Russell was a US Navy veteran and retired from Gaylee and Lord. He loved fishing, working in his garden and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Russell’s family would like to give a sincere thanks to Floyd Medical ICU staff, Floyd Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Rome Rehab for the sincere kindness they showed to him during his illness. We were blessed with awesome nurses and doctors and not one thing went unnoticed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday (today) at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Frank Wood, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, with Shanklin-attaway Post Five Honor Guard conducting military rites.
The family received friends Saturday November 24,2018 from 6 until 8 P.M.
George William Reynolds was born on April 1, 1925 and passed away on November 23, 2018. Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 26 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Rome, 100 E. 4th Ave. The family will receive friends after the service from 4-6 p.m. at the church. Daniel’s Funeral Home.
