Noon Optimist Club’s Pancake Breakfast ‘huge’ success: This update from Barbara Penson — “Rome Noon Optimist Club 58th Annual Pancake Breakfast is in the books as another huge success! With this success we can support all our youth sponsored activities! Thank you to all our supporters. Remember this event is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving every year. The best way to kick off the Holidays in Rome!”

SUNDAY

The Berry College Theatre Company presents the untold story of a pioneering woman astronomer in “Silent Sky” ends Sunday. “Silent Sky” is set around the turn of the 20th century and tells the real-life story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt as she balances health complications, familial obligations and gender discrimination. Show at  2 p.m. performance on Sunday. General admission is $12, senior citizens are $8 and students are $6. Tickets can be purchased online at www.berry.edu/bctc-tickets or by calling (706) 236-2263.

Community-wide Dodgeball Tournament hosted by Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, 702 Pleasant Valley Road in SIlver Creek, from 5-9 p.m. The free event is open to middle and high school teams made up of friends, sports/cheer teams, scout troops, church youth groups and more. A dodgeball arena from DodgeBall2You (Tampa, FL) will be set up in the church parking lot for round-robin style-tournament. You can pre-register online or day of event. Details
