5A: Rome remains no. 1. They are 10-0 on the season.
4A: Cartersville moved up to no. 2 after beating Troup on Friday. It was the Hurricanes’ 50th consecutive regular-season victory. 10-0 in 2018.
3A: Calhoun no.1 again this week with a 10-0 record.
2A: Rockmart holds at no. 2, is 10-0.
1A Private: Darlington is in at no. 10, is 8-2 on the season.
AP’s Top 25 College football teams. Georgia climbs to no. 5.
After a huge win over Kentucky, Georgia moved into the no. 5 spot in the latest AP Top 25 with Alabama holding at no. 1.
Other SEC teams in the countdown include: LSU drops to no. 9 after losing to Alabama; Kentucky to no. 12 after its loss to Georgia; Mississippi State rises to no. 18; and Florida falls to no. 19.
ACC: Clemson holds at no. 2 after a blowout win vs. Louisville; Syracuse is no. 13; Boston College no. 17; and North Carolina State, no. 22.
The next College Football Playoff rankings coming Tuesday: Current rankings are 1. Alabama, 2. Clemson, 3. LSU, 4. Notre Dame, 5. Michigan and 6. Georgia. The dates for the fall of 2018 are as follows:
