Fashion Ten opening soon in Cartersville: Red-hot Main Street has another retailer on the way, this one a growing boutique on the northern edges of metro Atlanta.

Fashion Ten is hiring today from 1 until 4 p.m. at the store, 487 E. Main St. near Longhorn Steakhouse. An opening date hasn’t been announced. Hours will be 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday; closed Sunday.

Fashion Ten has stores already in Canton, Woodstock, Jefferson, Buford and Athens. Cartersville is the last store opening of the year and, as of Thursday, there we no plans for stores in Rome or Calhoun.

The retailer describes itself as “a fun store featuring boutique style clothing for an affordable price. We feature overstock and last call merchandise and nothing is over $10 except the current Simply Southern tee shirt line.” For more: Fashion Ten Cartersville or Fashion Ten.

Dining: Thatcher’s Barbecue & Grill get closer to opening:

From John Thatcher, Thursday morning: “Yes, we are working to get the smoker ready to set inside. It’s coming together nicely. Slowly but nicely. Signage is coming soon as well. We are working on two locations at once for opening (the other in Ooltewah, Tenn.)

Dining & Drink: Martha’s Berry wins name-that-beer vote; second anniversary and grand opening next at Rome City Brewing:

“We will celebrate officially being open and brewing beer for two years also finally having a grand opening party here in our new location. Two years has flown by and we can’t thank you enough for the support. Thanks to you guys, we expanded out of the Brewhouse and into our very own brewery here at 333 Broad St. We will release four new beers this night. Our light lager, barrel aged pale ale, Baltic Porter and our famous cranberry wheat called Martha’s Berry. Francisco Vidal will be on hand to play all your fav songs! This is an all ages and free entry event.”
