Ms. Terrie Lee Martin, age 70, of Rome, passed away Monday evening, October 15, 2018, at her residence.
Ms. Martin was born in Floyd County, GA on October 15, 1948, daughter of the late William Aubrey Gray and the late Jessie Ruth Smallwood Bowman. She was also preceded in death by sister, Joan Moats. Ms. Martin was employed for many years with Diprima’s Steak House here in Rome until closing. Prior to her retirement in 2010, she was employed with the Floyd County Board of Education as a bus driver in the Coosa district. She was a member of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Misti Mobbs (Thomas), Armuchee; 2 grandchildren, Macy Edwards (Gregory), Rome, and Dakota Mobbs, Armuchee; aunts, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Agan officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Thursday from 1:30pm until the service hour.
Pallbearers are requested to assemble at 2:30 p.m. and include: Thomas Mobbs, Gregory Edwards, Dakota Mobbs, Nathan Campbell, Timothy Davis and Jason Davis.
Mr. David Anthony Knott, age 67, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at his residence.
He was born in Floyd County, GA on October 7, 1951, son of the late Lumas Robert Clifford Knott and the late Melvie Ruth Bowman Knott. He was a graduate of Pepperell High School. For several years, he had been employed in the textile industry and was last employed by Prince Carpets in Cartersville. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Ann Comer.
Survivors include his wife, Melica Crider Knott; a son, Shane Knott, and his wife, Jennifer, Centre, AL; a daughter, Brianna Wheat, and her husband, Shane, Rome; a step-daughter, Laurie Gray, and her husband, Shawn, Rome; a step-son, Adam Proctor, and his wife, Amanda, Rome; 2 sisters, Jayne Dukes, and her husband, Bob, Lindale, and Joanette Yandle, Lindale; a brother, Dennis Knott, and his wife, Kathi, Rome; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Clarence Everett Wilkins, age 58, passed away October 14, 2018 in Cartersville, Ga.
Mr. Wilkins was born July 10, 1960, in Cumming, Georgia, to William R., Sr. and Edna Martin Wilkins. He resided in Sugar Valley and worked for an auto parts company for 15 years in Carterville, Georgia. We will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Shirley Dunn and Lois Clay; a brother William Robert Wilkins, Jr.; two nephews William Robert Wilkins, III and Sherman William Ingram, Jr.
Mr. Wilkins is survived by four sisters, Aline Wadsworth of Villa Rica, Pasty Hutchinson of Lithia Springs, Sheila Allen Douglasville, and Betty Ingram of Cedar Bluff, AL; and a brother Sammie Hutchins of Villa Rica. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends today, October 17, 2018, at Daniel’s Funeral Home 901 E. 2nd Ave., Rome from 3 p.m. until the funeral hour. The funeral service will be in the chapel at Daniel’s Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Matthews officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
